DAVA & RICK BYRD
Owner & Founder
Established in 1998, Byrd Building is a family business managed by Rick and Dava Byrd. Rick grew up in a family of residential contractors and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an MS degree in Construction Administration. His experience ranges from cleaning job sites as an adolescent to project managing the Oklahoma City Civic Center Music Hall renovation. He has been fortunate enough to work with some of Norman’s best home builders, including NAHB Life Director Ben Newcomer, Don Cies, Bus Eoff, Clark Heatherington, George Musgrave, Don Overton, Claudell Overton, Charles Epperson, Mike Barnett, John Tune, Bob Thompson, Jimmy Motie, Ben Graves and others. A 12-year career with Flintco, Inc. nurtured his ability to manage projects large and small. Rick is accustomed to working with diverse groups of professionals, and he has a talent for managing building processes and contractors.
Rick has crafted a wide selection of amazing luxury homes within exclusive neighborhoods in Central Oklahoma. His homes range from 2,500 to more than 12,000 square feet and feature superb architectural design, top-of-the-line appliances, custom-built cabinetry, superior finishes, outdoor entertaining areas, full-house basements, gymnasiums, golf simulator rooms, foam insulation, geothermal energy systems and numerous other luxurious amenities. Influenced by timeless design, we specialize in single family homes that artfully blend luxury, value and comfort.
